His debut novel, A Murder of Crows, is a gripping procedural that follows two detectives as they hunt for a grieving killer staging murders like stolen art to avenge an erased Black artist, a gripping noir thriller.
A former small business owner in the technology sector, Bob is fascinated by the quiet machinery of bureaucracy, the moral cost of doing the easy thing, and the specific, unglamorous resilience of people who refuse to let the past stay closed. He lives in Decatur, Georgia, with Milo (a 10-year-old golden retriever/dachshund mix), where he spends far too much time in archives and libraries and is currently at work on his next novel featuring Sergeant Nolan Anderson and Detective Maeve Mitchell. And soon on series featuring Mack, Eamon, Eithne, Terry, Midge, and, of course, Hen.
